We have grown winter salad leaves both outside and in the greenhouse. The greenhouse 'cut and come again' crops of Rouge de Grenoble lettuce, tangy mustards and rocket have given us at least one meal per week and, as the days lengthen we expect much more growth in March and April before the new season crops in May.

The poly tunnel frame is now up and we are waiting for a warm, calm sunny day to put on the polythene cover. I think it's big enough to keep Exmouth in winter salads.
